1.5 Beta - Big new addition and update!


Version 1.5 is out but as a "beta" version. I chose this because I've made significant changes behind the scenes and added a whole new sprite settings tab in the configuration window. Everything should be working but it needs more testing, so on top of the other warnings to always have backups, please try this out with even more caution (or the same level caution actually... you get the point!)

These changes were made after I received some great feedback from @cookiedraggy (NSFW projects, beware :) )


Changes:

Control default sprite properties

You now have (almost) full control of the default properties of the sprites you create via GM Link. You can choose whether to grab the properties from the obligatory spr_gmlink_base sprite in your project, or set them within the configuration window. (See the pic)

The default values are applied to all GM Link-created sprites UNLESS you change properties on the slice like origin or bbox. Things like collision tolerance and fps settings cannot be set per-slice currently and must be changed within GameMaker.

Only overwrite the properties that are set in Aseprite

When updating an existing sprite within your project, GM Link no longer overwrites its properties. It will only overwrite the properties you changed on the slice. For example, if you don't put in a new directory path in the "User Data" field, but the name of the slice matches a sprite in your project, then that sprite will be updated in your project but its path will remain as is. 

Same goes for updating a sprite that already has a bbox or origin point specified. If you don't tick the check boxes in the slice in Aseprite, these properties will not be overwritten on your sprite in GM
